Job description

We are looking for a Functional Manager Student Information System, with experience in IT system support and/or educational administrative processes. Within the Education area, our Student and Education Logistics Support team is responsible for the support and management of OSIRIS, the university's Student Information System, and supporting the continuous improvement and innovation in education administration.

As a Functional Manager Student Information System, you'll be working in the product team Student and Education Logistics Support, part of the Product Area Education within the department of Library and Information Services, LIS. Within this product team, you will work with various disciplines on OSIRIS and related applications that support student administrative and logistical processes in education. Outside your team, you will also be working closely with other product teams within the field of education (Assessment Support, Learning Support, Alliance Support, Hybrid Education & Audiovisual Support), educational experts, architects, privacy and security, and, of course, business representatives from our departments.

As a Functional Manager Learning Applications, you will:

  • Assess business needs regarding the current and future OSIRIS system and translate these into functional requirements.
  • Conduct impact analysis for Request for Change calls, based on business needs and requirements.
  • Support the analysis and improvements of existing student administration processes.
  • Translate educational and administrative processes to functionalities and technical specifications within OSIRIS.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key users, and other business representatives.
  • Keep in touch with technical experts, both internally and from suppliers (CACI).
  • Take care of the functional management and support on OSIRIS (2nd line support).
  • Good understanding of interfaces between OSIRIS and other systems.
  • Participate in educational innovation projects and the implementation of new functionalities.

Requirements

Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Are you a hands-on professional with an affinity for education? Then we look forward to receiving your application. Particularly, if you recognize the following characteristics in yourself:

  • HBO / University work and thinking level.
  • Engaging team player with enthusiasm, who is highly customer-focused.[CP1]
  • Preferably 3 or more years of experience in supporting a technical and/or administrative working environment.
  • Written and spoken communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Proactive/hands-on work approach, and ability to work independently.
  • You familiarize yourself quickly with new systems and can be a technical sparring partner for colleagues and suppliers.
  • Systemic way of working.
  • Knowledge of Student Information Systems (e.g., OSIRIS, Studielink) and/or educational processes is a plus.
  • Technical affinity for understanding system integrations and data flows is preferred.
  • An agile mindset and skilled at setting priorities.

  • A monthly salary of minimum €3.709,- to maximum €5.538,- for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 9/10 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
