Job description

You will deliver Wintel support within a secure environment, primarily focused on BAU operations, incident remediation, and maintenance activities, while also contributing to infrastructure project work.

Working within SLA-driven frameworks, you will investigate and resolve complex technical issues, support system optimisation, and help maintain a resilient and compliant infrastructure platform.

Knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, and Citrix technologies will be particularly valuable in this environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 3rd line Wintel support within a secure customer environment

Remediate incidents within agreed SLAs and contribute to problem management

Perform daily operational maintenance tasks across the infrastructure estate

Support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory services

Administer and support VMware virtualisation platforms

Support Citrix environments where applicable

Assist with Microsoft Exchange support and related services

Manage and maintain DNS and Group Policy configurations

Support backup and anti-virus technologies

Contribute to infrastructure project work and platform improvements

Develop or maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards

Requirements

Demonstrable experience working within a 3rd line Wintel support team

Strong Windows Server and Active Directory (AD) experience

Experience with Group Policy and DNS

VMware support experience

Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange

Exposure to backup and anti-virus technologies

Familiarity with Citrix environments

Monitoring experience (e.g. Zabbix) desirable

Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell)

Experience working within secure or regulated environments

Desirable:

Exposure to AI technologies or automation concepts
