Job description
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen and scale Aplo's infrastructure.
You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security and scalability of our trading platform. This is a hands-on position, working closely with backend engineers, quantitative engineers and the CTO.
You won't just operate infrastructure, you'll improve it.
What You'll Do
- Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
Design and improve our AWS infrastructure (networking, IAM, compute, storage)
Ensure high availability and scalability of production systems
Continuously improve resilience and fault tolerance
- CI/CD & Automation
Own and improve deployment pipelines
Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform / IaC tools
Reduce deployment risk and improve release confidence
- Reliability & Monitoring
Improve observability (metrics, logs, alerting)
Define meaningful monitoring standards
Investigate and resolve production issues
Contribute to incident response and postmortems
- Security & Compliance
Implement secure-by-default practices (least privilege, secrets management, encryption)
Maintain strong operational standards in a regulated environment
- Collaboration
Work closely with developers to improve system architecture
Help improve engineering practices and operational maturity
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, Technical Experience
Strong experience with AWS in production environments
Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Good knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar)
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
Mindset

You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in fintech, trading systems or crypto is a plus, but not mandatory.

- Base salary range: €90-118k (gross per year)
