Document Automation Engineer

We're seeking a seasoned engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of enterprise-grade document automation solutions on PbDoc (or equivalent document workflow engines). The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across document classification, OCR/ICR, metadata modeling, and enterprise integrations, with strong architecture skills in microservices and distributed systems. You will drive solution architecture, implement secure and compliant workflows, and operationalize CI/CD in a DevSecOps environment across Azure/AWS/GCP., * Own end-to-end architecture for document automation solutions on PbDoc (or similar platforms), ensuring scalability, resilience, and observability.

• Design metadata models , taxonomies, and schema evolution strategies to support high-volume document ingestion, processing, and retrieval.
• Define microservices and API boundaries; select appropriate patterns (saga, CQRS, event sourcing, pub/sub) for reliable and fault-tolerant workflows.
• Establish non-functional requirements (NFRs) for performance, throughput, latency, and SLAs; run capacity planning and benchmark testing.
• Build and optimize pipelines for document classification , OCR/ICR , and data extraction (including layout-aware and semi-structured documents).
• Design cloud-native deployments on Azure/AWS/GCP ; leverage managed services (queues, storage, databases, container orchestration).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Git-based workflows, automated testing, quality gates, blue/green or canary releases).Mentor engineers, set coding standards and architectural guardrails; conduct code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Do you have experience in Microservices?, * Extensive in enterprise application development and architecture roles, with at least 5+ years in document workflow/automation platforms.

• Strong hands-on experience with PbDoc platform (or equivalent: Kofax, OpenText, Abbyy, Hyperscience, etc.) and workflow engines.
• Strong knowledge of microservices , API management , scalable system design , distributed computing , and caching strategies.
• Experience with DevSecOps , CI/CD , and automation pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitLab CI).
• Excellent analytical , documentation , and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
