Job description

You will take ownership of automation initiatives within your product area and contribute to the evolution of our testing framework and processes. This role requires independence, solid engineering fundamentals, and the ability to design reliable automated solutions - not only implement existing ones.

You will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps to ensure high product quality through scalable and maintainable automation practices.

This is a great opportunity to deepen your expertise in TypeScript, automation architecture, CI/CD, and modern AI-assisted testing approaches while influencing technical decisions within the team.

Technology Stack

  • TypeScript
  • Playwright
  • WebdriverIO
  • BackstopJS
  • Mocha / Chai
  • GitHub Actions
  • AI-assisted testing approaches

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests (UI, API, Visual Regression)
  • Take ownership of automation within your feature/domain area
  • Improve and refactor existing test architecture when needed
  • Analyze flaky tests and drive stability improvements
  • Investigate CI failures and optimize test pipelines
  • Contribute to test strategy discussions (what to automate and why)
  • Participate in requirement analysis and proactively identify edge cases
  • Collaborate with developers to improve testability of the product
  • Review automation code and provide constructive feedback
  • Continuously improve framework reliability, performance, and maintainability

Requirements

Do you have experience in UI?, * Strong ownership mindset and accountability

  • Structured and analytical thinking
  • Attention to reliability and long-term maintainability
  • Clear and proactive communication
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Curiosity about modern testing approaches, including AI-assisted testing
  • Willingness to challenge existing solutions constructively, * 2-4 years of experience in test automation
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming
  • Good understanding of web architecture (client-server model, REST APIs)
  • Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and debugging pipeline failures
  • Understanding of testing strategies (testing pyramid, API vs UI coverage)
  • Git proficiency
  • English communication skills (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

  • Experience improving test performance and parallelization
  • Experience reducing flaky tests
  • Experience with visual regression testing
  • Understanding of design patterns and clean code principles
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Basic knowledge of performance or load testing concepts
