Job description

The Senior Manager, Strategic Business Change is a senior, enterprise-facing role within the Strategy Realization Office (SRO), reporting to the Director, Strategy Realization Office. It is a core part of the SRO's evolving capability and plays a critical role in strengthening how strategy is translated into executable, value-driven change across the organization.

This is not a pure strategy or visionary planning role. It is a strategy enablement and execution-focused position, designed for someone who can work hands-on with senior leaders to shape decisions, resolve complex business challenges, and move initiatives from concept through to structured execution.

The role provides a unique opportunity to influence the operating model, reputation, and impact of the Strategy Realization Office itself-including how it partners with the business, the standards and playbooks it develops, and the way it supports commercially credible decision-making at enterprise scale.

The Senior Manager focuses on shaping and enabling complex business, digital, and organizational change. This includes deep engagement with "in-life" operational challenges, ambiguous transformation initiatives, and cross-functional programs where the path forward is not yet clearly defined.

You will act as a trusted internal advisor and problem-solver to senior stakeholders, bringing structured thinking, fact-based analysis, and pragmatic recommendations that balance commercial, operational, and technical considerations. While the role does not require hands-on technical delivery, it does require strong fluency in digital and technology-enabled change, and the ability to work confidently at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and delivery., * This position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future with an occasional need to be onsite in a shared work environment

  • Must have flexible work schedule to accommodate across global business hours

  • Travel will be required , up to 10%

What we are looking for

  • Build strong working relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across NTT GDC functions to shape future-state operating models, processes, and digitally enabled ways of working aligned with SRO goals

  • Provide structured, independent analysis to support strategic choices, including options appraisal, benefits assessment, delivery feasibility, and technology implications

  • Define and evolve programme -level playbooks and blueprints that enable repeatable, scalable change - balancing structure with flexibility

  • Establish practical programme frameworks that support incremental delivery (clear capabilities, measurable outcomes, and cumulative impact)

  • Ensure initiatives are aligned to enterprise priorities and grounded in commercial reality

  • Advisory in nature - always connected to execution

  • Facilitate executive and senior leadership workshops to define problems, clarify objectives, and align stakeholders

  • Translate complex challenges - such as cross-functional dependencies, process breakdowns, systems limitations, organisational misalignment, or delivery risk - into clear problem statements and structured initiatives

  • Lead organisational standardisation discussions that balance global consistency with local operational realities

  • Support the definition of scope and requirements for external consultants to ensure value, clarity, and proportionate effort

  • Lead structured reviews of current-state processes, operating models, and supporting systems using a pragmatic staged approach

  • Apply a digital-first lens to assess how systems, platforms, data, and automation can improve efficiency, control, and scalability

  • Perform business-led fit-gap analysis with a bias toward simplification, standardisation , and reuse

  • Support business systems audits during transformation or integration activity

  • Provide commercially balanced recommendations based on business value, delivery risk, and long-term sustainability

  • Establish and maintain a living repository of business, programme , and technology-enabled change blueprints

  • Define new playbooks where needed - creating structured approaches rather than one-off solutions

  • Embed blueprinting as a practical capability to improve governance, clarity, and cumulative improvement

  • Contribute to shaping the SRO as a high-performing internal capability

  • Contribute to structured change management approaches, drawing on established frameworks ( e.g. Kotter) and practical experience

  • Support the design and delivery of communications, training, and adoption plans that help leaders and teams understand what is changing, why it matters, and how it affects them

  • Work closely with senior leaders to pace and sequence change appropriately in complex, fast-moving environments

  • Define clear success measures, outcomes, and KPIs at the outset of programmes and initiatives

  • Monitor performance and adoption metrics to provide assurance, inform decision-making, and course-correct delivery where needed

  • Ensure processes and ways of working are efficient, repeatable, and clearly documented-creating a solid foundation for future digital enablement

  • Translate business needs into clear functional and service specifications to support procurement, commissioning, and consultant management

Requirements

Do you have a valid General Dental Council Registration, General Dental Council license?, Do you have experience in Procurement?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Experienced in applying Lean or similar approaches to drive incremental, measurable improvement through structured problem-solving and delivery

  • Strong working knowledge of structured change frameworks, applied in practice to build momentum, secure buy-in, and embed sustainable outcomes

  • Balances delivery accountability, compliance awareness, and a clear focus on customer and business value

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and results-driven; confident in challenging the status quo and navigating uncertainty where solutions are not yet defined

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CER TIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business , Finance, Operations, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Several years in business change, transformation, programme shaping, internal consulting, or strategy execution role

  • Experience working in complex (preferably global) organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities

  • Strong background in operational change, programme development, and organisational capability building

  • Experience contributing to the design or evolution of transformation offices, strategy realization functions, or internal consulting teams is highly valued

  • Experience supporting procurement, commissioning, and management of external consultants

  • Familiarity with systems-enabled change, enterprise platforms, and digital transformation initiatives is beneficial, but deep technical expertise is not required
