Finance System Manager

We are seeking a SAP-focused Operational Finance Systems Manager to take ownership of core finance systems within a large, complex organisation. This is a key role responsible for optimising SAP, SAP Ariba, and associated finance technologies, ensuring robust governance, high-quality data, and efficient end-to-end financial processes.

You will act as the Finance subject matter expert for SAP, driving system capability, enhancement, and continuous improvement across Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations., * Lead optimisation and configuration improvements across SAP and SAP Ariba

• Own and enhance end-to-end P2P and O2C system processes
• Drive SAP Ariba improvement initiatives, upgrades, and rollouts
• Oversee SAP Concur (Travel & Expense), including configuration, controls, and reporting
• Establish and maintain strong SAP data governance, master data integrity, and automated validation controls
• Develop SAP-driven dashboards and performance reporting for leadership teams
• Identify system capability gaps and deliver enhancement projects
• Partner with Technology teams on integration, interfaces, and system performance
• Design and deliver structured SAP user training to maximise adoption and compliance
• Introduce automation, process efficiency improvements, and best practice controls

• Proven hands-on SAP and SAP Ariba experience within a complex operational environment
• Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes, system interfaces, and integration points
• Strong data governance and master data management expertise
• Experience leading SAP enhancements, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Confident engaging senior stakeholders across Finance and Technology
• Advanced analytical skills with ability to convert SAP data into actionable insight

Desirable:

• SAP Concur experience
• Exposure to project management or Agile delivery
• Experience in asset-intensive or operationally complex organisations
