Job description

The role of the Cyber Security Reporting Analyst is to enhance and operate a centralised reporting system for SSE's cyber security risk position to produce metrics and tooling for the cyber security community. This will enable risk informed and data-driven decision-making and solutions and involve bringing together data from several disparate reporting and logging systems into a central location to perform storytelling.

You will

  • Work with reporting and AI tools such as PowerBI and Databricks to produce insights from a range of cyber security tools such as vulnerability management, identity management, detection and response and other cyber security tools to drive cyber security position.

  • Meet with managers and stakeholders regularly to understand and deliver and support their reporting requirements and to build new cyber security metrics.

  • Produce monthly reporting packs for CISO and Cyber Defence colleagues for inclusion into Executive reporting papers and for cyber risk oversight challenge meetings.

  • Develop power apps to support Cyber Defence colleagues and their business processes to manage risk assessments, third party security assessments and new cyber security services.

  • Set up, manage, develop, and improve reporting and Cyber Defence processes for successful business improvement.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Power BI?, * Experience in using PowerBi, PowerApps, Data Bricks and other data and reporting tooling and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Good understanding of cyber security and risk management.

  • Independent thought, proactive investigation and analytical mindset.

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and personal effectiveness skills with the ability to manage own workload.

  • Organised and structured. solution orientated, pragmatic, "can do" attitude with experience of delivering through others. Excellent facilitation and communication skills (written and oral).
