Job description
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Level 2 IT Engineer to oversee and support the IT operations at the CBS Arena. This is a on-site role responsible for maintaining the stability, performance, and security of all IT systems across the venue.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving escalated technical issues across infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and end-user systems. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless IT operations during live events and match days, requiring a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Due to the nature of the venue, shift patterns will apply to ensure IT coverage during events and match days.
Duties
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations across the CBS Arena
- Provide on-site Level 2 technical support
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents from Level 1 support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 environments
- Manage Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment (switches, firewalls, VLANs, Wi-Fi)
- Investigate and resolve server and infrastructure issues
- Manage backups and monitor system alerts
- Perform patching and routine maintenance
- Provide on-site IT support during events and match days as required
- Liaise with third-party vendors when required
- Document technical solutions and maintain accurate service records
- Assist with IT projects, migrations, and system upgrades
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Minimum 2 years' experience in a Level 2 IT support role
- Strong Level 2 troubleshooting capability
- Windows 10/11 administration
- Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Firewall and VPN configuration experience
- Backup solutions experience
Desirable:
- Azure / Entra ID / Intune
- Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware)
- RMM and PSA tools
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Experience in fast-paced or event-based environments
