Job description

We are looking for detail-oriented and analytical Software Testers to join our growing development team at RNE. As a software tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of one of our key applications. Beyond regular quality assurance, you will also be able to suggest improvements and interact with a diverse range of users from the European railway community., * Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans for a software tool used by planners

  • Perform functional, regression, and usability testing
  • Work in a development team consisting of railway experts, developers, product managers, and potentially other interfacing departments
  • Contribute to the development by understanding user needs and suggesting improvements
  • Contribute to the creation of documentation and user manuals
  • Support the project manager with planning activities and running user group meetings
  • Take part in external communication (e.g., in case of a system failure), * Up to 50% home office to maintain a good balance between work and leisure time

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a software tester or business analyst
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies
  • Qualification in software testing is a plus, although it can be replaced by strong experience
  • Ability to learn and interact in a dynamic international environment
  • A pro-active, can-do attitude
  • Experience working in an agile environment and with tools like Jira or Confluence is a plus
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional European languages is a bonus

Benefits & conditions

The annual gross minimum wage for this position according to the Austrian Act on Equal treatment is EUR 42.000, - (full time - 40h/week), with willingness to negotiate overpayments in line with the market, depending on experience and qualifications.
