Job description
Haskoning is a global leader in the design and engineering of Mission Critical Facilities, particularly in the data centre industry. Our dedicated MCF Data Centre team collaborates with top data centre providers across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the UK to create innovative and sustainable solutions. As digital technologies continue to drive global growth, we are expanding our team and offer exciting opportunities for experienced professionals to join us in key locations such as the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and South Africa.
What you will do as a Junior Mechanical Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)
As a Junior Mechanical Engineer you must prove yourself to some of the most demanding customers in the world and work pro-actively with our colleagues across the globe. Beyond the standard features of a building, our MCF projects require specific and advanced knowledge and skills. What our clients have in common, is the need for a proactive Mechanical Engineer. With your technical and 3D/ BIM modelling skills, you know how to efficiently engineer and model design. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Engineering the mechanical design in project teams. Of course, under the guidance of the Lead Engineer;
- Develop line diagrams of the mechanical installation and coordinate with other disciplines for the initial space reservations;
- Modelling the mechanical installation in 3D Revit/BIM based on the diagrams and coordinated space reservations;
- Implement your knowledge based on functionality, mountability, accessibility and maintainability into the model to ensure that the contractor can build it according to our model without revising it.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team where your work will be cross borders, native and home based. In addition to participating in projects, you naturally also contribute to the optimization of our internal business processes and to safeguarding and sharing knowledge within your field. In this way, we continue to develop ourselves continuously!
