Job description

Join our fast-growing, highly motivated NDS team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to dive deep into how we capture the real world, how this is reflected in our reality index, and work with the team on how this data goes straight into cars with our NDS deliveries. We work with Agile practices and cooperate with numerous different teams inside and outside of the company. Our team delivers digital maps in NDS formats to our automotive customers, where the data is going straight into cars to power autonomous driving use cases.

We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to drive the roadmap and delivery of our NDS map compilation and delivery capabilities for automotive programs (IVI, ADAS, ISA, AD). You will translate OEM and partner needs into high-quality product outcomes, continuously balancing safety, performance, cost, and delivery timelines. You will operate at the intersection of product strategy and engineering execution, using modern product discovery and delivery practices, data, and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end roadmap execution for NDS compilation and delivery: Ensure alignment with automotive program milestones and platform strategy, and drive measurable improvements in quality, latency, coverage, and cost through prioritized, shippable increments.

  • Backlog leadership with strong discovery discipline: Own the backlog end-to-end (epics * stories), ensuring items are well-formed (clear intent, acceptance criteria, dependencies, telemetry), continuously re-prioritized based on customer value, risk, and delivery capacity.

  • Technical product ownership of a data/compute-heavy system: Drive decisions across data ingestion, compilation/transform, validation/quality gates, packaging, and delivery constraints; partner with architects to ensure evolvable design, backward compatibility, and modularity.

  • Quality, reliability, and "definition of done" for automotive-grade output: Establish release criteria and quality gates (automated checks, regression baselines, traceability) and ensure readiness for customer integration, audits, and long-tail maintenance of released formats.

  • Stakeholder and dependency management at scale: Act as the bridge across internal teams and external OEM/partner stakeholders. Align scope, interfaces, and delivery dates; surface risks early; manage trade-offs with transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Technical Product Ownership / Product Management for software platforms, data pipelines, cloud services, or automotive-grade systems.
  • Technical depth: Able to dive into architecture discussions and reason about APIs, data models, versioning, deployment, performance, and operational risk.
  • Automotive delivery mindset: Comfortable with program milestones, SOP-style constraints, integration cycles, and multi-year support expectations.
  • Modern PO toolchain fluency: Skilled with Jira/Confluence (or equivalent), roadmap tools (e.g., Aha!, Productboard), collaboration suites, and structured requirement practices (epics/features/AC, traceability).
  • Strong execution in Agile at scale: Works effectively with Scrum/Kanban and cross-team planning (dependencies, PI-like planning or similar), drives clarity and removes ambiguity.
  • Metrics-driven: Defines success criteria and monitors KPIs such as build/compile success rate, defect escape rate, coverage, latency, reliability, cost per pipeline run, and customer integration lead time.
  • Communication: Clear, direct, structured communicator with engineers and non-engineers; handles conflict and trade-offs pragmatically.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of map data, compilation pipelines, tiling/LOD concepts, geospatial formats, or large-scale data processing.
  • Familiarity with quality/safety standards and audit-style processes (e.g., ISO, Automotive SPICE) and how they translate into engineering controls.
  • Experience with cloud cost awareness (FinOps) and defining cost-related product constraints and KPIs.
  • Practical experience using AI assistants for product work (requirements drafting, summarization, analysis), with strong judgment on validation and confidentiality.
  • Background working with requirements tools beyond Jira (e.g., DOORS) and managing traceability across large programs.
