Job description

As a Technical Service & Assembly Engineer, you will be a key contributor within our Technical Service and Training Team EMEA. You will report to the Technical Service & Training Manager and collaborate closely with a regional team of 12 specialists, including trainers, technical support professionals, and training coordinators.

Your primary responsibility will be the engineering and documentation of valve assemblies produced in our Enschede facility, with additional involvement in technical training and service activities.

How You Will Make an Impact

Assembly Engineering Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update drawings for standard valve assemblies, cabinets, and associated components.
  • Create customized assembly and cabinet drawings in partnership with Sales and customers.
  • Maintain test instructions and test reports.
  • Prepare and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP.
  • Manage relevant 2D and 3D CAD files.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in document control and order intake.
  • Work closely with the Assembly Shop Supervisor to manage daily order execution.
  • Coordinate and oversee externally manufactured cabinet orders.
  • Provide engineering support to Sales.

Additional Responsibilities (based on workload)

  • Support the team with Technical Service cases.
  • Maintain the L.I.V.E. mobile valve training rack.
  • Assist with training sessions held in Enschede.
  • Keep the demo room updated and operational.

Collaboration

You will work closely with cross-functional partners across EMEA, including Technical Services, Training, Sales, the Assembly Shop, and R&D teams in the United States.

Requirements

  • HBO or MBO degree with relevant Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency with Inventor, CREO, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proactive mindset, problem-solving ability, and hands-on approach.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience supporting an international customer base.
  • Knowledge of water-based fire protection systems or sprinkler installation design.
