Job description

Join us as a SysOps Engineer and help ensure that our AWS estate is secure, stable, automated and built for scale. You'll work closely with Platform, SRE and engineering teams to support critical services, drive governance, and maintain the operational health of our cloud platforms.

This is a remote role with travel into Morley when required.

What you'll be doing

As a SysOps Engineer, you'll run and improve our AWS infrastructure-keeping it secure, efficient and reliable. You'll troubleshoot issues, support engineers, automate operations and help evolve the longterm health of our cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, provision and maintain AWS infrastructure.
  • Automate patching, maintenance and key operational tasks.
  • Support cost governance through tagging, monitoring and lifecycle management.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery and restore testing.
  • Support security and vulnerability remediation.
  • Work with SRE teams to align platform needs.
  • Troubleshoot Amazon WorkSpaces.
  • Manage Route 53, IAM, ACM certificates and AWS account provisioning.
  • Oversee resource lifecycles, upgrades and decommissioning.
  • Administer AWS Org controls including SCPs, SSO, SCIM and Firewall Manager., As defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Evri is the Data Controller and ultimately responsible for ensuring the data you provide is kept secure, processed correctly and that you understand your legal rights in relation to the data you provide.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on AWS experience across cloud operations.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows environments and scripting (Bash/Python/Go).
  • Familiarity with WorkSpaces, tagging standards and AWS governance.
  • Experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation/Ansible).
  • Knowledge of backups, DR and recovery validation.
  • Clear problem-solver with good communication and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams across engineering.
