Job description

We are looking to support our rapidly growing team as soon as possible: Project Coordinator / Data Steward in Clinical Research (f/m/x) Biomedizinische Informatik - Datenintegrationszentrum TV-L: 38,5 h/week (100%) with an initially fixed-term contract of 2 year regulated by the German law (the so-called WissZeitVG) with option for extension Your salary will be based on TV-L Your tasks Data stewardship: * Develop data schemas for the standardised exchange of medical research data * Conceptualise and implement electronic data collection forms and advance existing processes for data collection and data curation * Providing support in consolidating/harmonising data and conceptualise the testing scenarios for assessing the data quality * Training and supporting researchers in implementing FAIR principles in research data management * Research work (data standards, data quality, etc.) * Extraction and preparation of data from clinical information systems for research projects * Writing metadata reports and developing data management plans Project coordination and communication: * Managing collaborations between MeDIC, external, and internal stakeholders * Managing MeDIC's administrative processes and organisational procedures * Initiating and strategically managing projects to develop innovative digital IT solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders * Advancing existing processes for the provision of clinical data * Establishing data protection guidelines for secondary use of patient-sensitive data in clinical research, and further development of data standards * Working closely with clinical partners and the research teams at the Institute for Biomedical Informatics to refine project requirements, project objectives, and adapt project timelines * Collaborating and communicating effectively with researchers, clinicians, and the IT teams at the MeDIC and the University Hospital of Cologne *, are looking for a Project Coordinator / Data Steward. In this responsible position, you will play a key role in making routine medical data available for clinical research and in managing the development and implementation of innovative IT solutions in healthcare. Your role focuses on advancing the digital transformation of the Medical Data Integration Centre by coordinating knowledge exchange on the intersection of research, IT, and clinical teams, managing national and international collaborations and making significant contributions to the further development of data-based medicine at the University Hospital of Cologne. Requirements
