Job description

As a Functional Specialist within the Corporate IT organization, you will contribute to the execution of strategic data and business intelligence initiatives by supporting business analysis, data validation, functional testing, and project coordination activities.

You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are clearly translated into effective data solutions while supporting the successful delivery of BI and data-driven projects., Business & Requirements Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and document functional and business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and actionable insights.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, design, and delivered solutions.
  • Represent business needs during solution design, validation, and testing phases.
  • Manage user stories, requirements, and backlogs using tools such as Azure DevOps.

BI & Strategic Data Projects Execution

  • Support the execution of data-driven initiatives and BI projects within Corporate IT.
  • Coordinate project activities and maintain visibility on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, data teams, and technical stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and value realization from data initiatives.

Functional Validation & Solution Support

  • Participate in functional testing, validation cycles, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Review outputs and ensure solutions meet business requirements and data quality expectations.
  • Collect and integrate stakeholder feedback to refine solutions.
  • Identify data inconsistencies or discrepancies and support resolution.
  • Suggest improvements to data usability and user experience.

Process Improvement & Quality

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and data governance practices.
  • Support quality assurance activities, including documentation, audits, and compliance tasks.
  • Ensure solutions meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data projects, or functional support roles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI for analysis and visualization.
  • Good understanding of financial KPIs, cost tracking, and reporting concepts.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • International exposure and flexibility for occasional travel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP systems or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools.
  • Exposure to data governance or BI transformation projects.
