Job description

The IT Analyst / Developer will work on-site within our end client's IT department as part of the team supporting group life insurance systems, while being contracted and supported by ITProposal B.V., The IT department is looking to strengthen its current team supporting group life insurance systems. We are seeking an IT Analyst / Developer to analyse and develop the solutions required to maintain and evolve the core group life back-end application running on the mainframe. You will join a team of six colleagues who are eager to welcome you.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the group life back-end application on the mainframe.
  • Deliver projects within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor and follow up on daily incidents (low volume).
  • Contribute to technical and functional documentation through code analysis and review of application behaviour.
  • Implement simple, structured and efficient solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT development or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT solutions within life insurance.
  • Excellent command of French or Dutch, with good knowledge of the other national language, and comfortable working in English.
  • Strong knowledge of COBOL / DB2; experience with mainframe environments and/or group life insurance is an asset.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Rigorous, organised, able to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to learn quickly and work at a sustained pace in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical, solution-oriented and results-driven.
  • Able to communicate with all types of stakeholders and present results clearly to senior management.
  • Autonomous, proactive and eager to take on challenges.
  • Creative, open-minded and willing to think outside the box.
