We have an exciting opportunity in IT Services for a passionate and experienced data networking engineer looking to use their skills to deliver, support and help transform connectivity solutions at the University., come and join one of the teams that makes that possible. So if you want to support the next generations of students, leaders and researchers, we want you on our team., Your work as a Senior Network Engineer will be varied and dynamic with opportunities to develop your skills across existing and new networking infrastructures. You will play a key role in the implementation and adoption of new technologies including automation and software defined capabilities as well as supporting the daily operation of core network systems.
Requirements
You will be part of the highly skilled Network Services team. In this role your focus will be on core networking systems including routing, switching, data centre, wireless, DDI, VPN, WAN, firewalling, and load balancing. As such you will have solid experience in these areas with well honed skills in Cisco Catalyst, and Fortinet (Fortigate) infrastructures. Proven proficiency in Cisco ACI and a solid foundation in multicast networking fundamentals would be highly advantageous for this role., We are seeking candidates with excellent technical skills, supported by recognised industry accreditations (CCNP or equivalent) and experience of network engineering within a large, varied organisation. The ability to lead on new developments and implementations is essential, as is a positive, enthusiastic approach to collaboration, support and personal development.
