Tasks
- Design system architectures for critical railway automation.
- Implement security policies for Microsoft and Linux systems.
- Manage IT security projects from conception to delivery., * You plan and design robust system architectures for complex Microsoft, Linux, and network environments that meet the high demands in the railway environment.
- You implement security policies and standards for Microsoft and Linux systems and continuously adapt them to current threat situations and best practices.
- You design and monitor security configurations such as GPOs, endpoint protection, and patch management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- You take responsibility for IT infrastructure and security development projects - from initial conception to handing over the blueprints to the implementation teams. You ensure that time, budget, and quality goals are met.
- You analyze security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats, initiate appropriate measures for remediation, and develop preventive strategies.
- You automate security processes using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) and manage our test lab systems to validate new concepts and security mechanisms.
Requirements
- Technical education or equivalent experience in IT required.
- Experience in system engineering and network technologies essential.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like PowerShell., You are primarily responsible for the conception and definition of blueprints for our predominantly Microsoft Windows-based systems, which are used by customers in the critical infrastructure environment of railway automation. With your solid experience, you ensure that these systems are not only designed to be performant and reliable but also optimally protected against cyber threats from the ground up. Your solid technical know-how and project management experience are crucial for the successful control and implementation of these demanding development projects., * Solid technical education (technical school/FH/university/ETH) or comparable professional experience in the field of computer science.
- Further training in system engineering or information security is an advantage, as well as knowledge in cloud computing.
- Several years of solid experience in system engineering as well as very good knowledge in the administration and securing of Microsoft Windows Server systems.
- Experience with automation (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) and solid knowledge in network technologies, firewall configurations, and security gateways.
- Sense of responsibility, strong analytical skills, and a structured, solution-oriented way of working.
- High willingness to learn and motivation for continuous development.
- Customer and service orientation as well as fluent German and English skills.
