Principal Security Analyst

The Principal Security Analyst provides senior technical expertise in cyber security operations. The role leads complex investigations, improves detection capabilities and advises stakeholders on security risks., * Lead investigation and response to complex cyber security incidents.

• Provide advanced threat analysis and security event investigation.
• Design and improve security monitoring, detection rules, and SOC processes.
• Advise technical teams on security risks, controls, and best practices.
• Support security tooling optimisation and detection engineering.
• Mentor analysts and act as an escalation point for security incidents., This temporary contract is inside IR35 and will require working under the direction of the client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices.

• Extensive experience in cyber security operations or threat analysis.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and detection engineering.
• Experience leading incident response and complex investigations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical advisory capability.
