Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (NextJS, Golang) - Peer Community

This is a unique opportunity for a systematic, technically strong, and driven individual to make a big impact on Gartner's peer experiences roadmap as part of the Gartner Product Management group. We are looking for impact-driven, self-motivated problem solvers bringing Full Stack experience.

Peer Experiences is a key initiative at Gartner focused on delivering faster, more seamless access to real-world peer insights. In this role, you'll partner closely with the product engineering team and collaborate across product, design, and QA to drive the technical execution of the roadmap and elevate the end-to-end client experience. You will also play a critical role in mentoring engineers, fostering best practices, and supporting a smooth and reliable release process.

What you will do:

• Assume major responsibility for Peer Community user-facing platforms.

• Participate actively in architectural planning and decisions.

• Design and build client-side architecture and functionality for web and mobile (React Native)

• Design and build effective APIs and scalable backend systems.

• Work closely with Design and Product teams to build a truly useful product.

• Understand user requirements and help understand and provide input into product strategy.

• Build and enforce guidelines for clean, maintainable code.

• 5+ years of Frontend experience with ReactJS and Next.js, with a track record of shipping high quality, scalable UI experiences.

• Handson experience with AI engineering, including using agentic workflows and tools like Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to refactor, support TDD, and rapidly prototype.

• Ability to work effectively in legacy codebases with meaningful technical debt, helping drive a path toward improving code quality and structure.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability, thriving in fast-moving environments with changing or ambiguous requirements.

• Proactively identifies risks and takes ownership of solutions, maintaining alignment with team goals during and after decision-making

• Exposure to backend services (Golang, Java, Node.js, etc.).

• Strong verbal English skills (we work in English!)

Nice to have / opportunity to learn (depending on the team)

• Experience working with MongoDB or other nonSQL databases.

• Mix of startup / enterprise experience or demonstrated ability to ship quickly with a high ownership mindset.

• Ability to work across the stack when needed., Applications must be submitted in English.

• A valid EU visa/passport is for this position.
