Job description
Working within the East Sussex School Health Service which supports children and young people from 5-19 years, you will work as part of a team led by our Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHNs) to deliver a range of public health interventions to improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families of East Sussex.

Requirements
Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Nursing) or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience plus a diploma in nursing
Registered Health Care Professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Recent healthcare experience, gained through education, work experience, or previous employment
Knowledge & Skills
You'll need have sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing
You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases
You will understand where to signpost clients and families to alternative services to support behaviour change and improve health
Personal Attributes
You will have the ability to focus on the details and spot any potential problems
You'll need to be adaptable in work as things change as part of working in a wider team
You will have knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks
You will fully understand the role and remit of a health care worker
Other Requirements
A full, valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role
