Job description
As the Business Support Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the organisation, coordinating a variety of operational, financial, and strategic activities. Your expertise will serve as a central point of contact for senior leadership, ensuring effective governance and decision-making across the organisation., Business Analytics & Reporting:
- Develop and communicate business analytics to spotlight improvement opportunities.
- Produce operational and financial reports to facilitate senior leadership decisions.
- Partner with analytics teams to enhance data accuracy and increase automation.
Financial Management & Forecasting:
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
- Analyse financial performance, identifying key trends and variances.
- Collaborate with Finance partners for P&L oversight and transparency.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:
- Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual workflows.
- Support senior executives on strategic projects and governance routines.
- Identify opportunities for new tools to boost operational effectiveness.
Leadership Communications & Connectivity:
- Communicate GMO's strategic priorities for clarity and alignment.
- Coordinate management meetings and governance forums.
- Partner with HR and Operations on workforce planning and compliance.
Risk & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to operational risk frameworks.
- Support risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Align business management activities with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Solid financial acumen with experience in forecasting and budgeting.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data modelling and financial analysis.
- Exceptional data analysis capabilities with a knack for translating complex data into insights.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in supporting senior leadership.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outputs.
- Excellent communication skills.
