As a Senior IT Auditor, you will play a crucial role in delivering audits from planning to completion across all areas of IT. Based within our Corporate Assurance Division, you will help strengthen our risk management, internal control and governance arrangements, contributing to our annual assurance statement.
You'll work alongside a team of experts and gain exposure to a wide range of IT audit areas, enhancing your skills and career prospects. You will communicate and collaborate with all levels of Digital Services, who are at the forefront of driving innovation and leveraging technology to enhance our operations. We operate a hybrid working approach with a combination of office and home working, with the potential for part-time or job share arrangements. You will be required to attend one of our UK office's a minimum of 2 days per week. Travel to other offices and supplier premises with overnight stays as necessary. The key responsibilities of the job can be found below:
- Delivering a portfolio of assignments across all areas of IT - responsible for planning and executing individual internal IT audits or advisory engagements through planning, fieldwork, and reporting stages that meet our quality and professional standards.
- Work with senior management to report your results to the auditees, agree any findings and management actions, and follow management actions through to disclosure.
- Managing client relations and expectations with staff and managers at all levels.
- Providing independent, objective, and practical support and advice to management and clients on IT risk management, internal control, and governance arrangements.
- Contributing to the development of audit and assurance policies, practices, and plans, as well as to the continuous improvement of the corporate assurance division, to ensure that it continues to produce work that meets the organisations needs.
Requirements
- CISA or equivalent professional qualification with significant knowledge and experience of IT internal audit, including COBIT, ITIL, NIST CSF, and ideally, project management (Agile, Waterfall, MSP/PRINCE2).
- Experience in using data analytic tools such as IDEA, ACL etc. (desirable).
- Ability to manage own workload, using own initiative, demonstrating strong planning and organisational skills as well as excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and present results in front of others, managing difficult conversations.
- Experience of supporting the development of internal IT audit strategies and plans and proven demonstrable experience undertaking and delivering quality internal IT audits in a timely manner.
- Able to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with the ability to engage and influence where necessary.
- Experience in writing and managing reports for a variety of stakeholders including the board and executive is essential.
