We are a busy manufacturing, well established facility, and following huge recent investment, this makes us a very stable place to work.You will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and supporting press tooling to ensure minimal downtime and safe, efficient production.Commutable from Northfield, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Worcester, Dudley, Stourbridge, Stourport-on-Severn, Bromsgrove and Brierly Hill
DUTIESDegrease press tools removed from production for planned servicing or breakdown repairsAssemble and dismantle press tools to regrind components or replace tooling partsSupport press setters in the press shop with tooling adjustmentsAssist press setters in locating and selecting correct tooling components (e.g. screws, dowels, tooling parts) from the toolroom to prevent damage or component rejectionManufacture tooling parts during breakdown situations to minimise production downtimeAssist production with changeover parts during product changes as requested by press settersNotify the toolroom office when consumable stock levels are lowREQUIREMENTSExperience of progression press tooling Surface grinding knowledgeStrong understanding of general machining practices, including: Milling, Turning, Drilling and TappingAbility to read and interpret component and tooling assembly drawingsWhat are you waiting for?
