Backend Engineer

Job Description:As an early Senior Backend Engineer, you will architect the backbone of a platform that transforms messy enterprise spend data into actionable intelligence using agentic AI. You'll build high-volume, low-latency systems and scalable data engines that deliver results in minutes for global companies, directly impacting the trajectory of this fast-growing, well-funded startup., Architect and maintain mission-critical data ingestion and processing engines capable of handling massive datasets from diverse enterprise formats.

Design and ship high-performance, well-documented APIs to support low-latency requirements for global enterprise operations.

Collaborate cross-functionally to translate customer business challenges into robust technical solutions through rapid ideation and experimentation.

5+ years of experience in backend engineering with deep expertise in object-oriented programming, specifically within cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Proven track record of applying SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design, and Clean Architecture to build scalable, production-grade microservices.

Strong passion for software craftsmanship and applied AI, with the ability to distinguish between strategic technical debt and poor architectural choices.
