- Select and define detailed specifications for feature-related hardware (FIE specs, turbo specs, camshaft profiles).
- Calibrate embedded software datasets based on specific engine and vehicle prerequisites.
- Development & Leadership:
- Lead engine performance and calibration development for defined technical areas.
- Execute and oversee verification plans to ensure all performance activities meet rigorous standards.
- Release Management:
- Manage the synchronization, configuration, and release of complete dataset deliveries.
- Innovation & Strategy:
- Propose improvements for engineering methods and tools.
- Provide critical technical input for product and system roadmaps.
- Connect technical output to broader business unit strategies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Experience: Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in Performance & Calibration Engineering.
- Education: Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Expertise: Recognized industry expert with a "T-shaped" profile (deep technical excellence paired with a mature generalist toolbox).
- Leadership: Proven track record as a project lead, coach, and mentor.
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex value creation and "join the dots" between technical work and global business strategy.
