On Time - Delivering high-quality solutions on schedule matters.To us, Every Detail Matters.What You'll Be DoingYou'll be involved in the full lifecycle of engineering projects, working closely with customers, the design team, and the workshop to deliver high quality insulation and thermal management solutions.Your responsibilities will include:· Managing insulation projects from concept through to production, including creating CAD models and detailed engineering drawings· Working directly with customers to understand their requirements and develop clear project specifications· Designing and producing tooling, jigs and fixtures using CAD and in-house 3D printing· Maintaining and improving our 3D printing capability, including printer maintenance and optimisation of print settings· Updating existing CAD models and drawings, and managing engineering change requests as products evolve· Using 3D scanning technology to support both quality inspection and design/reverse engineering work· Carrying out product testing to validate designs and support continuous improvement· Collaborating closely with workshop and fabrication staff to ensure designs are practical, efficient and manufacturable· Continuously improving existing engineering products, processes and internal standardsWhat We're Looking ForEssential· Experience with CAD modelling (SolidWorks preferred)· Strong problem-solving skills· Logical thinker· Good communication skills, both written and verbal· Ability to organise and manage your workload· Comfortable working independently and as part of a team· High attention to detail · Continually looking to improve· Self-motivated with pride in delivering high-quality work· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings· Experience with measuring toolsDesirable· Hands-on experience in a workshop or mechanical environment· Experience with reverse engineering· Knowledge of exhaust or thermal systems· Basic Excel or spreadsheet skillsWhat You'll Learn at IMMICOIn this role you'll rapidly develop practical engineering skills by working across the full product lifecycle.You'll gain experience in:· Designing real motorsport and performance vehicle components using CAD· Working directly with customers to translate requirements into engineering solutions· Design for manufacture, every design is made to be used· Creating unique solutions to fabrication challenges through 3D Printing· Using 3D scanning for design and quality verification· Understanding how motorsport deadlines and quality standards drive engineering decisionsWithin a short time, you'll see your designs move from concept * CAD * prototype * production * racetrack.Qualifications & Experience· 2+ years' experience with CAD software with Solidworks preferred (college/university level acceptable)· 1+ year experience in a mechanical design environment · Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or similar (preferred)Benefits· Team bonus scheme· Overtime opportunities· Early finish on Fridays· Free onsite parking· Christmas shutdown If you're a motivated young engineer who wants to develop real-world engineering skills in motorsport and high performance vehicles, we'd love to hear from you.
