Job description

This is the kind of environment where engineers report to engineers, good ideas get implemented quickly, and budget is never the blocker. This is often called a "room full of the smartest people in other rooms"

If you'd typically call yourself a Production Engineer, Platform Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Linux Engineer, DevOps Engineer or SRE, there is a home for you in this team!

Why join?

  • Flexible hours + hybrid working (brand new skyline office in London on a hybrid basis)
  • Work in one of the most technically advanced teams in the country
  • Heavy investment in cutting-edge and next-gen tech
  • Flat structure, low ego, high talent
  • Startup-style ownership backed by major resources
  • Real autonomy to build, improve and automate

The Role

You'll sit within an elite Linux-focused infrastructure team responsible for designing and running large-scale, high-availability systems.

This is hands-on engineering. You'll be:

  • Building and evolving resilient, multi-petabyte infrastructure
  • Writing Python to automate anything manual or repetitive
  • Improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Working closely with engineers across the business to improve reliability and performance
  • Enhancing observability, monitoring and system transparency
  • Driving automation across config management and container environments

Requirements

  • 2-15 years' experience working deeply with Linux
  • Strong Python skills (automation/scripting)
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling
  • Exposure to Docker and container ecosystems
  • Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar
  • Experience working with large-scale bare-metal environments
  • Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tooling
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Exposure to distributed storage systems
  • Database experience (MySQL/Postgres)
  • Messaging systems experience
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate in fast-paced environments

This is a chance to join a genuinely elite engineering team in London, working on serious-scale infrastructure with the freedom and backing to do things properly. Similar jobs
