IT Manager

Lead IT strategy and infrastructure for a technology business operating in the defence sector, delivering secure systems across multiple platforms - with security, resilience and compliance being central to everything they do.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will shape the IT roadmap, mentor engineers, and represent IT at senior leadership level.

You'll:

Lead a team of Senior Infrastructure Engineers Own and improve on-prem and hybrid infrastructure Develop a forward-looking IT roadmap Work closely with the Managing Director and CISO Ensure compliance with ISO and security standards This is a predominantly internal IT role, focused on strengthening and futureproofing internal IT infrastructure.

Windows Server (2019 / 2022) Active Directory / Azure AD Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox Microsoft 365 Palo Alto firewalls Strong security and compliance focus What we're looking for: Proven experience as an IT Manager or Infrastructure Manager Experience leading technically capable engineers Strong knowledge of Windows infrastructure and virtualisation Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders Location: Tewkesbury - due to the nature of the industry and environment, the requirement is 5 days a week on site. Salary: £50k-£55k
