Job description
We are looking for an experienced Network Automation Engineer to join a high-performing Network Operations team responsible for a global enterprise network spanning offices, data centres and colocation environments.
This role combines core networking expertise with network automation, offering the opportunity to work across large-scale infrastructure projects while also acting as a senior escalation point for operational incidents.
Engineers operate on a 4-week rotation:
- 3 weeks project work (automation, network improvements, engineering initiatives)
- 1 week operations support, acting as Tier 3 escalation for major incidents, * Troubleshoot complex network issues across multi-vendor environments
- Provide Tier 3 escalation and resolution for major incidents
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to diagnose hardware and software issues
- Investigate WAN connectivity issues and third-party network problems
- Monitor and maintain data centre and enterprise network performance
- Contribute to network automation initiatives using Python and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
Requirements
- CCNP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in enterprise networking environments
- Advanced Routing & Switching knowledge
- Solid BGP experience
- Experience working with Cisco and/or Arista networking platforms
- Practical experience with network automation (Python preferred)
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices
- Exposure to Ansible/Ansible AWX
- Previous experience in large global enterprise networks
