Technical Scrum Master

We are now looking for an Intermediate Web Developer to join our team.Reporting to our Lead Developer, you would be working as part of a team to build a variety of projects for our clients, from full website builds through to updates and amends to existing projects. The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of working with WordPress and the block editor as well as WooCommerce and would ideally have at least 2 years' experience within the industry.Main duties would include:Contributing to project proposal conversations with the development team, project managers, and designersDeveloping and maintaining WordPress based websites for clientsDeveloping and maintaining WooCommerce storesDeveloping custom web applications that drive business processesCross browser and device testing (inc. debugging)Monitoring health and uptime of servers (no in-depth configuration required)Collaborating with creative and account management teams to find solutions for client website projectsParticipating in company-wide and team meetingsParticipating in meetings with clients where necessary (via Teams or in-person)Skills and experience required:At least 2 years' experience in an agency based positionStrong knowledge of WordPress and the native block editorBasic understanding of React and React ComponentsStrong understanding of PHP coding fundamentals, including object-orientated (OOP) coding standardsStrong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS & JavaScriptBasic understanding of CSS/JS preprocessors (Sass, Scss, Webpack)Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) a plusKnowledge of version control systems, specifically GitLogical thinking and the ability to debug code and work through issuesAn understanding of technical SEO best practicesExperience using Mac and/or Linux terminal based utilities and system level commands (ZSH, Git, Docker, Cat, Grep, Top/Htop etc.)Knowledge of the latest web trends and open source projectsComfortable adopting established team workflows and contributing to process improvements We would expect applicants to be able to demonstrate some of these skills at the interview with some past projects.
