Web Designer

We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling, user-friendly websites and digital interfaces that meet client specifications and enhance user experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills in both creative design and front-end development, ensuring websites are responsive, accessible, and optimised for performance. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of digital design principles, interaction design, and current web technologies., * Design and develop engaging websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.

• Implement responsive web design techniques to ensure compatibility across various devices and screen sizes.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve overall user experience (UX).
• Maintain existing websites through regular updates, optimisation for SEO using Google Analytics and other tools, and website maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate back-end functionalities.
• Utilise content management systems like WordPress for website updates and content organisation.
• Develop visual assets with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva (where applicable), ensuring consistency in branding and colour schemes.
• Conduct data analysis to evaluate website performance metrics and user engagement patterns for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all web designs adhere to best practices in accessibility standards and information architecture.

Do you have experience in WordPress?, * A Degree in IT or similar field is essential for this role.

• Proven experience in digital design with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX design.
• Proficiency in front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Familiarity with responsive web design principles using Bootstrap or similar frameworks.
• Experience with content management systems such as WordPress.
• Skilled in graphic design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Canva is preferred.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
