Job description

We are working with a welcoming and well-organised secondary school in the BS14 area of Bristol that is looking to appoint an ICT Support Technician to join their team as soon as possible. Full and part time options are available for the right candidate.This is a great opportunity for a reliable and technically confident professional who enjoys problem-solving and supporting others. The role plays an important part in ensuring the school's ICT systems run smoothly so that staff and students can make the most of technology for teaching, learning and administration.Through Protocol Education, this role would be paid £105-£120 per day via PAYE, depending on experience.The RoleAs an ICT Support Technician, you will support the day-to-day operation of the school's ICT systems and provide practical technical assistance to both staff and students.Your responsibilities will include:Providing technical support for the school's ICT network, hardware and software Carrying out maintenance, repairs and upgrades to keep systems running effectively ️ Setting up and configuring workstations, devices and user accounts ️ Troubleshooting ICT issues and helping staff and students resolve problems efficiently Supporting the wider use of ICT to enhance teaching, learning and administration ️ Working in line with health and safety procedures and reporting concerns where necessary

Requirements

Ensuring systems and processes follow school policies and data protection standardsThe Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who is calm, organised and confident working with ICT systems in a busy environment.You will ideally have: A good standard of education, including GCSE English and Maths Strong ICT skills and a good level of computer literacy Experience supporting ICT systems in either an educational or commercial environment The ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively Strong communication skills when supporting staff and students A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamWhy Work Through Protocol Education?Working with Protocol Education means you will receive: Competitive daily pay through PAYE (no umbrella companies) Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant
