Shape Anglian Water's data-driven future as a Technology Architect (Data) At Anglian Water, we're driving digital transformation to deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions. As a Technology Architect within our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team, you'll play a critical role in defining and governing the architecture of our core platforms-ensuring they're secure, reliable, and strategically aligned. This role is pivotal in enabling data-led business transformation, providing clear standards, patterns, and frameworks that accelerate safe and compliant product delivery across applications, analytics, and data platforms. What you will be doing
- Define and maintain platform architecture blueprints aligned to enterprise strategy and target architectures, with a strong focus on data interoperability and governance.
- Embed robust governance in line with cyber security, data governance, and service operations policies.
- Design integration and interoperability patterns that connect platforms and enable data sharing across IT and OT environments.
- Enable self-service adoption through reusable frameworks, templates, and reference architectures-empowering data analysts, engineers, and citizen developers.
- Own technology strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management-planning upgrades, replacements, and reducing technical debt for data-centric platforms.
- Monitor and improve platform health, performance, and observability, consolidating technologies where appropriate to support data quality and analytics.
- Champion Health & Safety standards and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Communication skills?, * Significant experience architecting and governing enterprise-scale technology platforms, ideally with data and analytics components.
- Deep knowledge in Data technologies (e.g., Fabric, Databricks).
- Strong experience in integration design and interoperability across multiple technologies, including data pipelines and APIs.
- Proven ability to embed governance, compliance, and data management in platform operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications desirable.
