Our client has immediate job opportunities for Software Quality Assurance Engineers to join their team in Rochester, NY testing software solutions to support their revolutionary Photofinishing Products.
Qualified candidates for this job opportunity will work closely with development Peers, Team Product Owners, and others in Software Quality Assurance to design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test suites always standing for the voice of the customer. Candidates must have a passion for software quality, including why Software Quality Assurance interests them.
Must have strong knowledge and experience of being the interface with skilled developers while supporting the team's commitment to Quality., * Analyze user stories and software requirements. Provide feedback to agile team with a focus on how the requirements impact the entire system and end user.
- Perform exploratory tests on complex user workflows.
- Participate in all agile team ceremonies such as daily stand up, planning sessions, and team retrospectives. Ability to speak openly with team members and advocate for resolution of issues found.
- Provide detailed estimates for all testing tasks related to a user story.
- Collaborate with project team members to develop effective test strategies and plans that include testing at all levels of the technology stack (Web UI, Mobile UI, API, and database).
- Develop detailed test cases to verify application functionality for all defined use cases.
- Execute both manual and automated tests and report results.
- Report bugs and errors to the project team and convey detailed troubleshooting analysis. Effectively articulate steps to reproduce bugs and the impact they will have to the end user so that decisions can be made regarding bug priority and resolution.
- Execute all phases of testing (Functional, Integration, Regression, Post-Release)
- Maintain onsite photo lab equipment, systems, and manage lab consumables, key employment skills include:
- Troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Documenting maintenance schedules and supply usage.
- Track inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensuring equipment is calibrated correctly and consumables are compatible and within expiration dates.
- Coordinating supply orders, deliveries, and storage efficiently.
- Managing workflows to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of equipment.
- Quickly identifying and resolving equipment, malfunctions or supply issues.
- Collaborating with lab users, vendors, and management to understand needs and report status.
- Training staff on proper equipment use and maintenance procedures
- Prioritizing maintenance and restocking tasks to minimize impact on lab operations
- Maintain ongoing inventory of lab consumables and coordinate supply orders
- Design and develop automated test scripts using a proprietary framework.
- Provide regular updates to agile team on testing progress and risks to the schedule or quality goals.
- Act as a champion of quality on the agile team.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
Requirements
Must have extensive manual testing experience
Must have hardware testing experience specifically with printers and/or kiosk and photo equipment
