Job description

As Senior Manager - Data & AI Governance, you will play a key role in establishing and driving enterprise-wide governance practices that ensure data and AI assets are trusted, accessible, and managed responsibly. You will lead initiatives that strengthen governance frameworks, optimize data and AI access processes, and support adoption across business domains. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will help build a strong foundation for scalable and effective data and AI capabilities across Symrise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive enterprise-wide Data & AI Governance initiatives across business domains
  • Define, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, standards, and policies
  • Ensure effective and efficient data and AI access management processes
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align governance initiatives with strategic priorities
  • Promote adoption of governance principles and best practices across the organization
  • Support data and AI literacy, stewardship, and governance enablement initiatives
  • Monitor governance maturity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ensure governance processes support compliance, security, and responsible AI practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor on data and AI governance topics across Symrise

Requirements

Do you have experience in AI?, You are passionate about creating structure, enabling collaboration, and building trusted frameworks that help organizations unlock the full value of data and AI. You enjoy driving change, influencing stakeholders, and leading initiatives across complex environments.

You also bring:

  • Experience in data governance, AI governance, data management, or related disciplines
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, policies, and operating models
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide or cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams
  • Knowledge of access management, governance processes, and data lifecycle concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for data-driven transformation and responsible AI adoption
  • Fluent English skills; additional languages are a plus
