Job description
CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front End Developer with expertise in Angular to join our innovative team. As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic web applications, ensuring seamless integration with backend services, and optimizing performance and security.
Requirements
Proven experience to write unit and integration tests with Jasmine, Karma, and/or Protractor.
. Good understanding of various Java script integrations to Angular.
. Sound knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Boot strap, Angular material.
. Good understanding of state management, NGRX, and implementing complex enterprise applications.
. Participate in code reviews with peers, knowledge of GIT, and Google Secure Source Manager is a plus
. Create and update documentation in support of development efforts.
. Strong time management and work organization with verbal and oral communication skills.
. Up to date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Angular Framework:
o Expertise in Angular (preferably Angular 10+).
o Deep understanding of Angular CLI, Angular modules, components, services, directives, pipes, and dependency injection.
o Experience with Angular RxJS for handling asynchronous data streams.
. Frontend Technologies:
o Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
o Familiarity with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt, Node.js.
o Experience with responsive design and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Materialize, or Angular Material.
. State Management:
o Experience with state management libraries such as NgRx, Akita, or others.
o Ability to design and implement complex state management solutions.
. APIs and Backend Integration:
o Proficient in consuming RESTful APIs and integrating them with Angular applications.
o Experience with HTTP Client and handling API responses.
o Experience working with GCP and cloud-native application development.
o Experience working with docker, NGINX.
. Testing
o Knowledge of unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor.
o Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and Behavior driven development (BDD) practices.
. Version Control
o Proficiency in Git for version control.
o Experience with branching strategies and pull request workflows.
. Performance Optimization
o Skilled in optimizing Angular applications for performance and scalability.
o Familiarity with tools for performance profiling and optimization.
. Security
o Understanding of common security practices and vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF).
o Experience with securing Angular applications.
. Build and Deployment
o Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Cloud (GCP preferred) deployments.
o Familiarity with Docker and containerization is a plus.
. Other Technologies
o Knowledge of other frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js) can be beneficial.
o Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Express), + Angular 2

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $176,300.00.
