International IT Systems Administrator

Join the ministry of our International IT team to deploy and maintain Linux-based servers and international networks. WEC International is a non-denominational Christian mission agency with multi-national cross-cultural branches and teams in nearly 100 nations.

We value teamwork, partnership and cooperation, but international time zone differences and varied work hours and schedules restrict close collaboration with other IT colleagues, therefore you will need to be happy working independently.

The role requires the following responsibilities: Linux systems' engineering, Network administration, Security engineering, Monitoring, File and Mailserver, Backups, and Secure communications.

You have intermediate or advanced knowledge of Debian Linux system and network administration; Experience deploying KVM-based virtual machines; At least some general understanding of email server systems (Postfix & Dovecot), SAMBA file servers, web servers, databases (MySQL/MariaDB); Some familiarity with BASH and Python scripting.

You must be able to independently learn and deploy server-based software systems.
