Job description
- Review existing systems and designs across Voldex games (particularly Brookhaven) to identify areas for improvement and propose actionable design solutions.
- Write and maintain clear, actionable design documentation to support implementation across engineering, art, and production.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and analysts to translate game data and player feedback into impactful gameplay changes.
- Contribute to the design and iteration of new features, including roleplay tools like props and avatar editor, live events, and new roleplay content
- Balance new and existing systems to ensure fairness, engagement, and monetization goals are met.
- Participate in ongoing competitive research and player testing to stay informed on top Roblox experiences and identify feature opportunities or risks.
- Support live operations by proposing, tuning, and evaluating events, limited-time modes, and monetization strategies.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UX?, * Experience using Roblox Studio (professionally or personally)
- Strong understanding of systems design, progression loops, and live operations
- Experience designing features that improve retention, engagement, and monetization
- Proficiency in writing clear, actionable game design documentation, including flows, configs, and feature specs
- Ability to create basic wireframes, player flows, or annotated mockups to communicate UX intent
- Experience using data and community insights to inform design decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines (art, engineering, product, analytics)
- Passion for roleplay and simulation games, from DnD to The Sims to any world where players can act, build, and tell their own stories
- Ability to work collaborative hours aligned to EST-PST time zones
Nice to Have
- Prior experience shipping updates or full games on Roblox
- Professional experience with digital roleplay games (e.g., the Sims)
- Experience with tabletop roleplay games (e.g., DnD)
- Professional game design experience in live service or free-to-play environments, particularly roleplay or simulations
- Degree in Game Design, Interactive Media, or a related field
