The Role Our client, a well-established construction business based in Portadown, is seeking a hands-on IT Support Coordinator to provide day-to-day technical support across the company. This is a part-time position (circa 25 hours per week) with flexibility around working patterns. The successful candidate will support staff with day-to-day IT issues while working closely with the company's outsourced IT provider on more complex matters. With new finance and construction systems being implemented, this role will also play an important part in supporting system rollouts and helping staff adapt to new platforms. Key responsibilities include: Provide first-line IT support to staff across the business. Troubleshoot day-to-day issues such as login problems, software issues, and connectivity. Set up new laptops, workstations, and hardware for new starters. Manage user accounts, passwords, and system access. Liaise with the outsourced IT provider to escalate and resolve technical issues. Support staff during the rollout of new systems including finance and construction platforms. Assist with maintaining IT equipment and ensuring systems are running efficiently. Provide basic training and guidance to employees on systems and software where required. Maintain documentation relating to IT systems and support processes. The Person The ideal candidate will be a practical, approachable IT professional who enjoys helping people and solving problems in a busy working environment. You will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating with external IT support partners when needed. Key requirements include: Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role. Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and user issues. Experience supporting Microsoft-based environments (Office, Windows, user accounts). Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical staff. Comfortable managing day-to-day IT issues in a fast-paced business. A proactive and problem-solving mindset. Experience supporting system implementations or software rollouts would be beneficial. The Rewards Competitive part-time salary (circa £18,000-£22,000 depending on experience).
