Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an efficient and self-motivated IT Support Technician to join our friendly team within Ann's group. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive and dynamic organisation who are fast becoming leaders in their field. It is a permanent role, based at Ann's Head Office, located outside Portadown working full time (40 hours) Monday to Friday. Candidate must be a driver with access to a car as this role will involve site visits to Ann's care homes across the region. Salary will be competitive and will be based on skills and experience.

As IT support technician you will be integral in maintaining and optimizing our computer systems and networks. Serving as the first point of contact for technical issues within Head Office staff and managerial staff within our care homes, ensuring prompt resolution and appropriate escalation when necessary.

The candidate should have the passion, vision, dedication, and determination to continue building a high-quality service that places our clients at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • First point of contact for IT queries from home managers, ensuring prompt resolution or escalating to IT manager
  • Provide direct support to staff, assisting with system setups and troubleshooting via phone or face-to-face interaction
  • Provide a record of any support calls
  • Provide callouts to care homes, working with determination to fix an issue, providing a clear explanation of the issue in question
  • Manage hardware maintenance and replacement, including Laptops, PCs and printers
  • Assist with the deployment of new applications and systems including system testing
  • Create and manage user accounts, ensuring secure and efficient access control.
  • Prioritise and handle multiple issues simultaneously in a timely manner
  • Building the company's professional network through relationships with professionals clients and other partners
  • General office duties

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Technical support?, * Third level qualification in an IT related discipline and/or 1 years' experience in an IT Technical support role

  • Good knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Driver with access to car, * Do you hold a third level qualification in an IT related discipline and/or 1 years' experience in an IT Technical support role

Licence/Certification:

  • driving licence and access to a car (preferred)
