Job description
The expert will participate in the necessary methodological developments and analyses of airborne data recorded by the IAGOS research infrastructure (https://www.iagos.org) and from other networks, to provide key elements to answer the question of the causes of changes in ozone trends throughout the troposphere. This will involve exploring regional and vertical differences to better understand the dominant factors. He/she will work under the supervision of the coordinator and scientific manager of IAGOS at the Laboratoire d'Aerologie, Toulouse, https://www.aero.obs-mip.fr
- Analyze interannual variabilities and trends in ozone and carbon monoxide at regional and global scales, based on IAGOS observations; Explore other ozone and precursors datasets to complete analyses.
- Strengthen the IAGOS scientific team on themes related to ozone and its precursors on a global scale.
- Develop automated digital tools to create summary diagnostics
- Publish the results, present them orally at appropriate conferences and workshops
Requirements
PhD or equivalent
Research Field Environmental science
Education Level PhD or equivalent
Research Field Environmental science, * Minimum training: PhD in atmospheric physics and chemistry, with significant experience in in situ data analysis.
- Good practice of English (level B1 desired)
- In-depth knowledge of the Python language
- Autonomy, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
