The Algorithms & Complexity team at IRIF (CNRS, Université Paris Cité) invites applications for a fully funded postdoctoral position to work on the theory of quantum algorithms and their programming, in collaboration with the Proofs & Programs team at IRIF. Research topics include (non-exhaustive list):
- design and analysis of quantum algorithms,
- parallel quantum algorithms and circuit depth reduction, -quantum property testing and estimation algorithms (distances, fidelity, entropies), -algorithmic models for distributed quantum computing, -quantum programming for the expression, structuring, and efficient implementation of complex quantum algorithms.
-Research in quantum algorithms and quantum programming -Participation in research seminars and group discussions -Supervision of interns and collaboration with PhD students
IRIF is an internationally recognized research laboratory in theoretical computer science.
The host team conducts research in quantum algorithms, quantum programming, and the foundations of quantum computing, with particular emphasis on the expressiveness of programming models and algorithmic efficiency.
Permanent members include researchers specializing in quantum algorithms, programming, and the theoretical foundations of computation.
This position falls within a sector subject to the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST) and therefore requires, in accordance with regulations, that your appointment be authorized by the competent authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
