Job description

Overview As a Compute Infrastructure Senior Officer, you will work in the Compute Infrastructure Team within the Enterprise Technology function, a core IT function underpinning the council's operations. The team manages a large virtualization infrastructure and server estate, as well as end user device build and management, including productivity tools. You will support the Compute Infrastructure Team Manager in ensuring the secure, reliable, and compliant operation of the Council's IT estate, contributing to development and implementation of security policies, standards and processes aligned with regulatory and organisational requirements. Working collaboratively across IT&D, you will help drive timely remediation of vulnerabilities and support secure, efficient service delivery. You will provide tactical advice to colleagues and managers to help shape secure operational practices and ensure robust, well-managed compute infrastructure.
