Job description

OverviewIn this role, you will support the Core Infrastructure Team Manager in managing and developing the Council's core infrastructure services, with a strong focus on security vulnerability management, application patching and modern endpoint management using Microsoft Intune and SCCM. You will play a key part in supporting the Council's approach to device compliance, application patching and configuration, helping to maintain a secure, stable and well managed technology environment. As a subject matter expert in application management, endpoint management and vulnerability remediation, you will provide both strategic and operational advice and technical input. ResponsibilitiesA relevant Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification, or substantial professional experience in a related field, alongside appropriate technical credentials such as specialist technical qualifications Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, engage and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in complex environments and manage competing demands. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Demonstrable experience delivering communications and collaboration platforms Support the management of infrastructure components such as servers, endpoint platforms and configuration baselines, working closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers. Assist in the support, administration and enhancement of Microsoft Intune and SCCM for device and application deployment, patching, compliance, configuration and application delivery. Use the service management system to manage and record all work, keep customers informed, prioritise tasks, set appropriate expectations and contribute to the team's broader objectives. Provide effective operational support across the infrastructure, applications and endpoint management environment to ensure services remain stable, secure and efficient. Identify, analyse and manage vulnerabilities across the infrastructure, applications and endpoint estate, coordinating patch deployment, configuration changes and remediation activities. Monitor and support the health and performance of infrastructure services and compliance policies, while contributing to the team by sharing technical knowledge, offering guidance on tooling and technologies and supporting mentoring and team development activities.

You will be based at our Woodhatch Place office in Reigate. We support hybrid working with an expectation to be office based 2 days per week.
