Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Change Manager to lead the adoption and embedding of new Data Operating Model of our client. This is a high-visibility, impact-driven role where you will work directly with the Chief Data Office (CDO) and Data leadership to bring structure, alignment, and enterprise-wide behavioural change to how we work with data.
You will be the driving force behind ensuring that the defined way of working becomes part of our day-to-day reality across the global engineering and data community.
About the Program
Data Operating Model is a core pillar in wider Operating Model transformation. Its key objectives include:
Core Program Drivers
-
Shift to a centralized-plus-decentralized (hub-and-spoke) governance model for Data & AI and Data Engineering crafts. This includes activation of a Data Circle to align cross-organizational efforts.
-
Adoption of an enterprise mindset, ensuring teams prioritize collective business value over local optimization.
-
Enablement through key levers, including:
-
Clear roles and decision rights
-
Investment in resources
-
Governance standards and tooling
-
Data product certification
-
Craft development frameworks
You will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and embedding this model across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and drive the change strategy and end-to-end roadmap for the Data Operating Model, focusing on embedding new ways of working and the required enterprise mindset.
- Act as a trusted advisor to VP/SVP stakeholders, providing clear, honest feedback on organizational readiness and actively managing the "patience gap" as the central hub strengthens.
- Define KPIs and success metrics to track adoption, effectiveness, and readiness.
- Apply Agile principles to the change process, ensuring structure without slowing delivery or creating bureaucracy.
- Translate complex concepts (data governance, metadata standards, architectural changes) into simple, compelling narratives that resonate across global engineering and data teams.
- Partner closely with workstream leads and Data & AI leadership to ensure alignment across the broader Operating Model program.
- Influence implementation strategies beyond the change workstream (process integration, tooling, operating model components) and proactively remove blockers to adoption.
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in change management, including leadership of large-scale global organizational transformations.
- Demonstrated ability to work iteratively and apply Agile ways of working.
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable using data and insights to steer the change journey and support executive decision-making.
- Proven experience influencing SVP/VP-level leaders and facilitating complex stakeholder groups.
- Solid understanding of data operating models, data engineering disciplines, and the evolving GenAI landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record leading data- or AI-driven transformation programs at scale.
