Professional development is strongly encouraged, with staff supported through training and shared best practice.The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum and invests heavily in technology and data systems to support student progress monitoring and school improvement.Role OverviewThe school is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Manager to oversee the management, analysis and reporting of student data across the school.This is a critical role that supports senior leadership by providing accurate information to inform decision-making and monitor student progress.The successful candidate will manage the school's data systems, ensure compliance with data regulations and help develop efficient reporting processes.Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the school's management information systems
  • Producing accurate reports on student progress, attainment and attendance
  • Supporting senior leadership with data analysis for school improvement planning
  • Coordinating assessment data collection across departments
  • Ensuring data accuracy and consistency across school systems
  • Developing efficient processes for data reporting and analysis
  • Supporting staff in using data systems effectively
  • Managing census returns and statutory data submissions
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection and GDPR regulations
  • Maintaining secure data storage and record management
  • Supporting examination data processes in collaboration with the exams team

Requirements

The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of data systems.They will be highly organised and able to communicate complex information clearly to staff across the school.Accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail will be essential qualities for this role.Requirements

  • Experience working with data management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of proficiency with spreadsheets and databases
  • Experience with school MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom (desirable)
  • Ability to present data clearly through reports and visualisations
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and teaching staff
